Anthropic has opened access to Claude Fable 5 and Mythos 5 - ForkLog: cryptocurrencies, AI, singularity, future
Anthropic has made the AI models Claude Fable 5 publicly available and launched Claude Mythos 5 for a limited group of partners in Project Glasswing.
Both models are built on the same core architecture. The key difference is that Mythos 5 operates without some standard safety restrictions.
Claude Mythos 5 was deployed as part of Project Glasswing — an initiative for collaboration with the U.S. government. The model is an update to Claude Mythos Preview, which in April was accessible to a select group of cybersecurity experts and critical infrastructure software providers.
In the future, Anthropic plans to provide access to Mythos 5 to individual researchers in biology and trusted access program participants.
The Fable 5 model is available to all users via the Claude API and consumption-based Enterprise plans. In Pro, Max, Team, and seat-based Enterprise subscriptions, its use is free until June 22, 2026. Starting June 23, usage will require credits unless the company extends the grace period.
Fable 5 includes a mechanism to redirect requests related to cybersecurity, biology, chemistry, and model distillation to a more powerful Claude Opus 4.8. According to Anthropic, this fallback triggers in less than 5% of sessions on average.
The cost of using both models is $10 per 1 million input tokens and $50 per 1 million output tokens.
Recall that in May, Anthropic released Claude Opus 4.8 and separately introduced a dynamic workflow function for Claude Code.
