People always think that change comes from active choice, but more often, true change comes from being forced to leave. Losing a job, ending a relationship, giving up a long-held goal—what seems like a blow of fate at the moment is actually breaking the original path dependence. Because most people are not trapped by their abilities, but by inertia. People keep repeating familiar choices, even if that road has long reached its end. Only when the old structure is broken by external forces can people be forced to re-understand themselves and the world. So, many years later, looking back, those moments that once caused you pain, resistance, or even despair are not necessarily fate punishing you, but fate ending a stage that can no longer continue. What fate gives you is often not a multiple-choice question, but a force that pushes you out of the old world. The true determinant of life's direction is not that one time you are pushed away, but whether you are willing to move toward a new direction after being pushed.
