One of the most surreal moments of the NBA Finals occurred when a spectator ran onto the court at the end of the fourth quarter to try to take a selfie with Wemby before being immediately subdued by security.
Authorities state that the incident was not just about taking a photo and was related to an attempt to promote a crypto scam.
The individual was banned for life from attending all NBA events.
Another person suspected of being connected to the incident is also facing sanctions.
