Lately, social mining, points, and identity badges have been getting popular again. I’ve seen people in the group trying to get a few more points—switching accounts all day, grinding tasks, and chasing promotions—while phone notifications pop up like a game of whack-a-mole. To put it bluntly: badges don’t hold your assets for you. And once your time has been drained, nobody is going to refund it.

My approach right now is pretty rigid: one scenario, one address. After the interaction is done, I stop. Before signing, I check the domain and permissions—if I can avoid it, I don’t connect. On the fee side, everything has gotten to an extreme, and people are starting to argue again: “Should we reverse the trend or keep squeezing the bubble?” Instead of piling on more and forcing a task-chasing grind, I’d rather start by clearing out my authorizations—don’t treat yourself like a points machine.
