Lately, I've been so absorbed in testing network point farming that I almost feel dizzy: originally to practice feel and get familiar with the process, but as I kept farming, I started to default to "I'll definitely be able to exchange for something later." I thought I was very disciplined, but as soon as I saw others showing their scores in the group, I got itchy hands, so I opened a few more accounts anyway... Then the nodes jittered, RPCs acted up, confirmation numbers froze for a long time, and I suddenly snapped back to reality.

I now set two stop-losses for this kind of "expectation": time stop-loss and effort stop-loss. For example, at most an hour of tinkering each day, twice on weekends; if I go over, I shut down the computer. The other is cost stop-loss—only use the amount of real money that can be considered tuition fees, and don't chase more expensive gas or more time-consuming tasks just because of "possible airdrops." Recently, everyone keeps mentioning staking unlocks, token unlock calendars, and that kind of selling pressure anxiety, which is actually quite similar— the more expectations you have, the easier it is to get caught up in emotions. If the confirmation count isn't enough, just pretend it didn't happen, and that's it for now.
