If a bird lands in your hand and it wants to fly, let it fly. Because the tighter you hold it, the harder it is for it to breathe, and in the end, it will only suffocate itself at your hands. Open your palm, and it may fly away, or it may come back; but if you insist on not letting it go, it won't even have a chance to return because it has already died in your control. True possession is not control; true relationships are not about possession.
