Recently I’ve been dragged around again by that social mining setup of points/badges—doing tasks until I start to doubt my life... I need to be reminded: your identity isn’t proven by lighting up a row of badges; what really gets drained is your time and attention. Bottom line: I’ve made a dumb rule for myself—no more than 20 minutes a day; if I go over, I just treat it as if this activity doesn’t exist/doesn’t count. If I really want to participate, I only do things that can also verify the project’s security along the way, like checking permissions and contract changes, and I don’t touch the kind that’s “all about check-in.” A couple of days ago, the cross-chain bridge had another problem, and the oracles were acting up—everyone was “waiting for confirmation.” In a situation like that, chasing points is even more like betting on whether your reaction will be slow. Anyway, I’d rather get less than hand the platform my pacing through push notifications. That’s it for now.
