Last night I was again torn up in the table between grid/DCA and going all-in. Basically, it’s choosing between “being able to sleep” or “getting it all done at once.” I’ve noticed that when I go all-in, even though my position isn’t that large, my heartbeat is faster than the candlesticks, and in the middle of the night I keep wanting to reach for my phone to confirm things. Grid/DCA is like breaking my emotions into smaller pieces—if I lose, it doesn’t sting as sharply. At least it doesn’t feel like a needle is going straight into the forehead.
What I’m a little afraid of is that a couple of days ago I almost followed a “smart money” label system on-chain into a trade. Later, when I dug into the address associations and the transfer paths, I felt that the label updates were too slow and also pretty easy to get pulled along with the momentum… I almost switched the “sleep mode” back to the “all-in mode.” Anyway, my standards are kind of crude right now: if it lets me not stare at the charts, then it’s better for me. That’s it for now.
