The third time my own multi-chain wallet overwhelmed me… my assets were scattered everywhere, with a pile of addresses across mainnet, L2, and side chains—scrolling through the transaction history felt like dredging up old accounts.

After that, I just forced my OCD brain to kick in: layer things by “purpose,” not by “chain.” Long-term holdings go into the offline signing setup; everyday interactions use a hot wallet. All the on-chain mess is treated as disposable tool accounts—when I’m done, I clear approvals, wipe everything that shouldn’t stick around, and sweep any remaining dust back to a “transit address.”
Honestly, I’d rather pay a couple extra transaction fees than, one day, in some blockchain game, see an inflation spiral plus a studio dumping the floor—then, as a reflex, pull my other chain assets into it too… Fragmentation is really annoying, but compared with chaos, being a bit slower is something I can tolerate.
