ME News Report, April 19 (UTC+8), a fake gang in South Korea is selling counterfeit official documents to users via the Telegram platform, primarily accepting cryptocurrencies or digital gift cards as payment methods. Among them, the fake Yonsei University graduation certificate costs about $200, the enrollment proof about $100, and the fake overseas university graduation certificate is priced at approximately $341. In addition, the gang also offers forged materials including driver's licenses, proof of kinship, criminal record certificates, and bank loan documents. According to South Korean police, the number of arrests related to forgery cases nearly doubled from 2021 to 2023. (Source: MLion)
