Over the past couple of days, I’ve been seeing everyone discuss whether people should migrate before or after the main-chain upgrade/shutdown maintenance, but instead I went ahead and dug up my own wallet situation to double-check it again… I can’t tell whether you should migrate or not, but if your wallet gets emptied, it’s zeroed out on the spot. As for mnemonic phrases, I basically treat them as a “no-go zone”: no screenshots, no storing them on cloud drives/online drives, and don’t send them to anyone. Even if the other person claims to be “customer service” or says they’re doing an airdrop registration—no matter how much it sounds like the real thing—I treat it as phishing across the board. Signature authorization is also pretty annoying. Some pages make you just tap “Confirm” and you’re done; plain and simple, you’re handing the other party a key. These days, I’d rather spend an extra minute checking the authorization details and making sure the address is correct. If it’s a site I don’t recognize, I shut it down immediately. In any case, what I’ve learned isn’t a technique—it’s this: the more urgently you feel like clicking “Confirm,” the more you need to pause for a moment.
