Lately, when looking at PFP, memberships, and branding stuff, I actually want to "pause" for a moment. To be honest, short-term attention is very easy to buy: changing avatars, posting whitelist, creating some ritualistic sense, and then it’s all over after a lively period; long-term value is more about structural issues—after you come in, whether the protocol/community really makes you "stay" or just "recruit," and whether the incentives push people to do short-term moves.

Layer 2 is also competing in TPS, fees, and subsidies, with heated arguments flying everywhere. I can't help but want to jump in, but if I do too much, I’ll get carried away. My current approach is: stop chasing hot searches, stop watching who shouts louder in the "ecosystem battle," and return to the simplest question: what ongoing benefits does this membership actually provide? If it’s only narrative and emotion left, then I’ll hold back from rushing in, to avoid paying tuition for short-term attention in the end.
