I realize that my tolerance for floating losses is really quite poor; even just a small loss on paper, and my mind automatically starts reviewing: Did I not read the signature carefully at the time? Did I authorize a bit too much? Unrealized gains actually make it hard for me to get excited, at most I think “Oh, it’s okay,” and then keep worrying about whether I might give it all back... Honestly, the money lost feels like it’s knocking on the door, while the money gained is just passing by.

Recently, that mainstream chain is about to upgrade/maintain, and in the group, people are guessing whether the ecosystem will migrate. I also got a bit anxious and almost started messing around with random operations. Later, I forcibly set reminders and limits for myself: check at the scheduled time, don’t open the app if it exceeds a certain amount per transaction. Strangely, after setting these, I felt much more at ease, as if I had locked the “worst-case scenario” in a cage… Let’s leave it at that for now; sleep is more important.
