Last night after my night run, I felt restless and chased a trade on L2—but it still failed… I used to think, “Just widen the slippage a bit and you’re good,” but now I realize that when the depth isn’t enough, opening a position no matter how big is basically like placing an order into thin air. The moment the price jumps, it throws you off the bus. Even worse, I clicked confirm in two separate steps—by the time I dragged the timing out by a few seconds, the little bit of liquidity in the pool had already been swept up by someone else. Lately, Meme and celebrities get a shout or two and then the rotation starts—it's really easy to get swept up—but honestly, newcomers are the ones most likely to catch the last baton. Anyway, my current approach is: I’d rather go slower and split into smaller orders than force my way in during the hottest moment… If the mainnet suddenly gets ridiculously expensive, I definitely don’t want to look.
