Every year at the end of the year, I get a shock from the words "tax declaration"… Honestly, it's not about being afraid of paying taxes, but about fearing that flipping through transaction records will make me question my life. Now I try to do this: for every large-scale rebalancing / cross-chain / new protocol launch, I casually save the tx hash, time, and screenshots of the counterparty in the same folder, and then note why I bought or sold at that time (emotions are fine too). Otherwise, relying solely on on-chain data tools and those tagging systems can easily lead me astray: not only are they lagging, but some addresses are "smart money" today and become "retail investors" tomorrow, making your end-of-year reconciliation even messier. Anyway, I’d rather spend an extra two minutes at the moment than wait until the last day, staring at a bunch of gas fees and slippage, trying to remember what I actually did. That’s it for now.
