Just pulled out a bunch of transaction records for reconciliation, almost broke down on the spot... To be honest, the most annoying thing at the end of the year isn't profit or loss, but "which platform did I exchange what on at that time." I just want to keep it simple now: every time I deposit or withdraw funds, cross-chain, or swap coins, I take a quick screenshot + save the CSV into the same cloud folder, with the filename clearly indicating the date and platform; on-chain, I just remark on my frequently used addresses, so I don't have to guess which transaction is mine when tax season comes.
Recently, everyone has been comparing RWA and US Treasury yields to on-chain yield products. I’ve been looking at that too, but the more I watch, the more I feel: the yields look "stable," but if the records are messy, it’s not stable at all... Anyway, I’d rather do a little less hassle twice than stare at a bunch of hashes and be clueless at the end of the year. That’s all for now.
