I've recently been debating security issues again: hardware wallets, multi-signature, social recovery—how to choose? Honestly, it depends on whether your current assets are worth the hassle. For small daily amounts, a hardware wallet is enough; if lost, you can recover with the seed phrase. For slightly larger assets that move across chains, I prefer multi-signature, at least you won't lose everything if one key is compromised, but it is indeed more complicated—signing feels like a meeting. Social recovery sounds great, suitable for those who "fear forgetting themselves or their family taking over," but you need to choose a reliable "social circle" first, or it becomes another risk. When macro factors like rate cut expectations, the US dollar index, and risk assets all go haywire together, it becomes more obvious: the hotter the market, the more people get carried away, and the easier it is to overlook permissions and backups. My biggest fear isn't losing money, but accidentally revoking an authorization or losing a key one day, with no chance to review... Anyway, I now categorize assets by layers: hot wallets only hold small change, cold storage is kept as cold as possible.
