Bitcoin is facing an identity crisis, and DeFi developers need to stop their “tech-bro” behavior.
Co-founder of Solstice Labs, Ben Nadareski, stated that Bitcoin is experiencing an identity crisis, with market narratives shifting and no longer being viewed as a store of value for the masses or a speculative tool. The growth of DeFi is quietly progressing, but it often overlooks fund management, leading to security challenges. He recommends that DeFi platforms adopt traditional banking standards, implementing real-time reserve proofs and automatic multi-signature time locks to enhance trust. Since its launch, Solstice has attracted participation from over 40 institutional investors, locking in more than $500 million.
