People with upright character often have a very steady sense of boundaries:

They don’t take advantage of others because they know where interest and gain have their limits;
They don’t stir up trouble because they know words come with a cost;
They don’t run up favor debts because they know relationships should stay clear and unclouded;
They don’t inconvenience others because they know other people are not doing easy either;
They don’t show off or flaunt themselves because their inner self doesn’t rely on outside confirmation;
They don’t flatter people with sycophancy because they respect others and don’t belittle themselves.
True uprightness isn’t pretended superiority—it means having a measuring line in your heart, acting within boundaries, and living with proper discretion.
