The Original Blueprint of the "World Computer"
· Inspiration incubation (late 2013): 19-year-old Vitalik Buterin released the Ethereum white paper, proposing to expand blockchain into a "world computer" supporting Turing-complete smart contracts.
· Crowdfunding and birth (2014-2015): Launched through public crowdfunding in 2014; the genesis block was created on July 30, 2015, and the Ethereum mainnet officially went live.

· The DAO incident (2016): The most famous DAO in history was hacked for 3.6 million ETH due to a code vulnerability, causing fierce community debate over whether to "hard fork and rollback."
· Birth of the hard fork (2016): Most nodes chose to hard fork to recover funds, forming the current Ethereum (ETH); the original chain that rejected the hard fork became Ethereum Classic (ETC), and they parted ways from then on.
