🏠 A house worth 1.3 million dollars was bought with Bitcoin in 2017… a world first at the time 😱
At that time, many still viewed Bitcoin as a geek currency or a speculative asset.
Yet in Austin, Texas, a buyer decided to purchase a luxury property with their $BTC.
The house was located on the shores of Lake Austin and included 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, a garage, and an infinity pool.
The deal was finalized in just a few minutes thanks to the BitPay platform, which converted the bitcoins into dollars to complete the sale.
