【Gate Officially Launches Stock Trading: A Key Step in Connecting Crypto and Traditional Finance】
On June 1, 2026, Gate announced the official launch of real stock trading services, allowing users to buy and sell U.S. stocks and ETFs directly using USDT within the platform. This marks Gate's evolution from a single cryptocurrency exchange to a comprehensive, multi-asset trading platform.
Unlike the common tokenization or CFD models in the industry, Gate’s integration involves real U.S. stock markets. It connects directly with compliant broker-dealers like Alpaca that hold U.S. Broker-Dealer licenses, linking to major markets such as the NYSE and NASDAQ. More importantly, its partner broker-dealers are SIPC members, meaning eligible securities assets are protected accordingly, greatly enhancing asset security.
In terms of product experience, Gate currently supports trading over 10,000 stocks and ETFs, far exceeding the hundreds available on tokenization platforms. Relying on a unified account system, users can easily allocate assets using USDT, and spot trading does not involve funding rates or overnight fees, making it more suitable for long-term holding. The app has already integrated trading functions, and in the future, it will support 24/7 trading and one-click asset transfers.
