Opinion: If Hyperliquid solves regulatory issues, its growth potential will be nearly unlimited, and the global CFD trading market will be revolutionized.

ME News, May 30 (UTC+8): BlockBeats reports that Kyle Samani, former co-founder of Multicoin Capital, and the well-known researcher DeFi Monk debated Hyperliquid’s development prospects. DeFi Monk is bullish on Hyperliquid’s long-term potential. Despite facing regulatory uncertainties and competitive risks, he believes it is disrupting the global CFD (difference contracts) market, with an estimated daily nominal trading volume of about $1 trillion, and that even in its current constrained state it remains a solid and attractive business. If regulatory issues are resolved, Hyperliquid could quickly grow into a super enterprise. In contrast, Kyle Samani strongly rebuts this optimistic view, saying Hyperliquid is like “.0 without a marketing team,” and that its technical roadmap is hard to take root in a permissionless decentralized environment. In addition, US companies will no longer cooperate with it, and its past decisions may hinder its development, causing the optimistic expectations to be seriously overestimated. (Source: MLion)

If Hyperliquid succeeds, Kyle will have to post a lengthy apology.

This debate is more interesting than the project itself.

Regulatory resolution? The day it's resolved will be the time I go all-in.

Decentralized order books are indeed appealing, but user experience hasn't yet surpassed centralized exchanges.

0.0 No marketing team—so funny, lol. Isn’t the HYPE community basically all just word of mouth?

Refusal of cooperation by American companies is a serious obstacle; the compliance pathways are too narrow.
