Just transferred some assets on the chain, and that feeling of "queuing" in the mempool feels pretty real: you click send, and it's basically like slipping a note into a pile of people's notes, waiting for miners/validators to pick it up. When there's congestion, the worst part isn't the slow speed, but not knowing your position in line... Some people pay extra to cut in line (increase their fee), some just wait it out, and if it expires, they have to start over, wasting a whole lot of time.

I need to remind myself: don’t interpret “not yet packaged” as a failure, and don’t get anxious and send multiple transactions in a row to turn it into a chain of bidding... Especially recently, with extreme funding rates, whether to reverse the position or keep squeezing the bubble in the group chat, I get more and more itchy. Anyway, my current approach is: don’t compete during those few minutes, first check if the network is busy, and only add a little if it’s urgent, don’t race against emotions.
