What else is needed for the cryptocurrency market to initiate a decent rebound?
How can ordinary people make a profit? Many friends probably feel the same as I do, clearly sensing that the current market is stagnant and making trading extremely uncomfortable.
🚨 Today, May 30th, BTC dipped to a low of 72,512 before entering a narrow sideways consolidation. Bitcoin and Ethereum have been repeatedly oscillating around key support levels for a long time, grinding bottoms, with no sustained rebound trend. Even though spot ETFs have been experiencing continuous institutional net inflows, and large funds are slowly accumulating at low levels, the overall market just can't move up or go far. What is missing for a significant trend rebound? I share the same view as a well-known trader:
The market's initiation depends on two core conditions—clear market narrative + continuous influx of new capital, both are indispensable. 🔍 Why is it so difficult for BTC and ETH to rise now? The fundamental reason is: lack of a main storyline + insufficient incremental funds. The market is currently in a typical dead period:
❌ No major regulatory favorable news or policy implementation in the short term
❌ Ethereum ecosystem upgrade benefits have been pre-absorbed
❌ ETF net inflows are stabilizing, with no new stories that can unify market consensus, so funds can't find a common speculative direction.
The narratives that can truly trigger a trend rebound for Bitcoin and Ethereum are mainly these:
1️⃣ Macro liquidity easing (Federal Reserve clearly signals rate cuts, global liquidity warms)
2️⃣ Regulatory policy clarification (compliance implementation, greatly alleviating institutional concerns)
3️⃣ Major ecosystem breakthroughs (massive asset tokenization RWA narratives truly fermenting) Before these conditions are met, relying solely on retail sentiment cannot sustain a rebound, and the market is likely to continue oscillating weakly, with repeated rises and falls.
💡 The tokenization of traditional assets, in a volatile bear market, the era of retail "safe havens" relying on air coins and pump-and-dump schemes by whales is over. The crazy hype of meme coins and rug pulls has significantly diminished, and the extreme risks of wild price swings and project collapses are greatly reduced. If you also realize that cryptocurrencies are still in a bottoming phase of the bear market, gradually shifting funds into trading gold or US stock index futures is a wise move. My personal most recommended and stable approach right now is: deeply engaging in tokenized futures trading of US tech giants and gold and other traditional assets.
The real experience boils down to two points:
✨ Sufficient volatility: Nasdaq tech giants and other sectors have ample arbitrage opportunities in both swing and intraday trading, unlike the current deadlock of Bitcoin and Ethereum, which offers no trading opportunities.
🛡️ Superior safety compared to meme coins: backed by real US stock assets and traditional fundamentals. Relying on traditional financial markets, even if the market pulls back, there’s no extreme risk of tokens going to zero, project teams running away, or principal being wiped out, as with meme coins. In this oscillating market, avoiding doubling your holdings on Bitcoin or chasing junk meme coins, aligning with the current market rhythm, and engaging in high-volatility, low-zero-risk trades to steadily profit from fluctuations is the key to long-term survival and profitability.
📝 Summary:
1️⃣ In the short term, Bitcoin and Ethereum are likely to remain volatile, with trend rebounds waiting for macro rate cuts and institutional large funds.
2️⃣ The market has bid farewell to the craze for junk coins and is actively embracing the new track of traditional asset tokenization (RWA).
3️⃣ There are always opportunities in the market; capital preservation is the most precious! 💬 Finally, I want to ask Gate’s veterans: how are you trading now? Are you still holding onto BTC/ETH, or have you already started deploying in US stock futures, gold, and other traditional asset new tracks?
