After Anthropic's new round of funding, the valuation reached $965 billion, surpassing OpenAI. It is expected to proceed with the IPO as originally scheduled.
Artificial intelligence company Anthropic PBC raised $65 billion in a new round of funding, with a post-money valuation reaching $965 billion, surpassing its competitor OpenAI for the first time. The funding round was announced on Thursday, led by Altimeter Capital, Dragoneer, Greenoaks, and Sequoia Capital. Sources familiar with the matter said each lead investor contributed more than $2 billion. Sequoia Capital declined to comment. The other three firms did not respond to requests for comment.
