SpaceX only signed a 180-day lease and did not commit to a long-term lease for Colossus.
AIMPACT News, May 29 (UTC+8), SpaceX and Anthropic have reached an computing resource leasing agreement for a period of 180 days, with both parties able to terminate the agreement with 90 days' prior notice. SpaceX emphasizes that the short-term lease is initiated at their own request, not at Anthropic's request, and commits to providing reasonable exit options if computing resources become tight, but reserves the possibility of reclaiming resources if necessary during the lease period. Currently, SpaceX has not committed to a long-term lease, and both parties are still negotiating the allocation of computing resources.
