Speaking of which, it has finally done something worth doing—finally a real good thing!

This should be the policy so far this year that has the greatest potential to change the fate of ordinary people.
This time, it’s not about canceling household registration, but about making public services truly follow the people. As long as you live stably in your local area and pay taxes according to the law, then when it comes to your kids going to school, getting medical care and health insurance, applying for public rental housing, and enjoying social security benefits—everything will be just like for local residents.
Put simply, the old logic was: “Get household registration first, and only then will I give you benefits”; now the logic is: “You’re building this city here, so this city should be responsible to you.” That’s what real progress looks like. At last, you no longer have to be forced into separation from your loved ones or dragged away from your hometown just because of a piece of household registration paper.
