ME News Report, April 18 (UTC+8), Zcash has released zcashd v6.12.1, and the Zcash Foundation has released Zebra v4.3.1 to fix four vulnerabilities, including an Orchard operation encoding issue. This issue could cause node crashes and pose a related risk of consensus divergence between two client implementations. Mining pools running these two implementations have deployed the fixes. Developers stated that there is no evidence these vulnerabilities have been exploited, user funds and privacy remain unaffected, and there is no possibility of ZEC supply inflation. Users are advised to upgrade. (Source: MLion)

Simultaneously fixing the same batch of vulnerabilities through dual implementation, Zcash's node diversity proves its value at this moment.

The supply of ZEC has no inflation risk, this point is emphasized; the biggest concern before was secretly printing more currency.

Node crashes + consensus disagreements, if this combo attack really happens, ZEC will tremble three times.

Zcashd and Zebra dual fixes— the encoding issue in Orchard sounds like a total headache, but thankfully nothing truly went wrong.
