Tonight’s Analysis and Forecast for the U.S. Stock Market Open
On the evening of 5.28, ahead of the U.S. stock market open, overall risk-market sentiment remains relatively cautious. Judging from the daytime movements of BTC and ETH, there was a clear increase in trading volume during the early-morning period followed by a selloff. BTC’s low reached around 72,667, while ETH’s low retraced to around the 1,965 level, indicating that global risk funds are still in a risk-averse mode. Although the crypto market saw a modest recovery in the evening, the rebound strength was limited, suggesting that bullish confidence has not fully returned.
From a technical perspective, the three major U.S. stock index futures are still experiencing weak, choppy trading. The Nasdaq still has a need for further pullback in the short term. Bearish momentum on the MACD has not yet ended, the KDJ is dull at low levels, and the RSI has moved into a weak zone—making a “rally followed by a pullback” pattern likely in the short term. On the capital front, recent U.S. Treasury yields have remained elevated, and the U.S. Dollar Index is biased stronger, putting pressure on tech stocks and risk assets. As a result, market wait-and-see sentiment has increased noticeably.
On the news front, the Middle East situation remains the key risk factor at present. The U.S. continues to strengthen military deployments in the Middle East, and issues related to Iran continue to escalate. The market remains highly sensitive to geopolitical risk and oil-price fluctuations. At the same time, expectations for a Fed rate cut have swung again, which has led to lower risk appetite among funds. In addition, crypto ETF inflows have slowed significantly, on-chain activity has declined, and the overall market leans more defensive.
Overall, tonight at 21:30, the probability is higher that the U.S. stock market will open with a “low open, range-bound trading, and resistance on rebounds.” In the short term, the focus should be on whether the Nasdaq can hold key support levels and whether sentiment toward risk assets will continue to deteriorate. #美军对伊朗发动新打击 $BTC $ETH
