Eight years in the crypto world, cycles of bull and bear markets, sudden surges and crashes, I've seen it all. Some people get rich overnight, others lose everything overnight. Honestly, living until now, my account is still here, I haven't gone crazy, and I'm already very satisfied.
Let me tell a true story. I have an old friend, during the 2018 bear market, he was fully invested in altcoins, and his assets shrank from 3 million to 200k. He didn't sell, he held on stubbornly. Later, in the 2021 bull market, his 200k turned back into 2 million. He sold half, kept half. In the 2022 bear market, that remaining half dropped again to 300k. He asked me what to do, I said you've already endured one cycle, don’t you have a sense of it? He chuckled: "I’ve endured it, but I’ve lost half my hair."
Eight years, my biggest realization isn’t how advanced the technology is, but understanding one word: perseverance.
During a bull market, don’t think of yourself as a genius; during a bear market, don’t think the world is ending. You are just a drop in the tide; when the tide rises, you’re there, when it falls, you’re still here—that’s enough.
I don’t watch the charts much anymore. I check twice a day, set stop-losses, and do what I need to do. When the market comes, I take a bite; when it moves away, I don’t chase. Because I’ve found that those who are anxious every day actually can’t make money. The more relaxed you are, the more money finds you.
Eight years, not too long, not too short. If you’re also enduring in the crypto world, don’t rush, take it slow.
