Federal Reserve: Waller will serve as "acting chairman" temporarily before Powell officially takes office

ME News update: On May 16 (UTC+8), the Federal Reserve issued a statement on May 15 local time saying that before Kevin Waugh officially takes the oath as Federal Reserve Chairman, the current Chairman, Jerome Powell, will temporarily serve as the “Acting Chairman.” Powell’s term as Chairman expires this Friday. The Federal Reserve said: “During transitions between incoming and outgoing chairmen, such practices are consistent with past customs.” (Source: PANews)
