CoinWorld News reports that the head of Iran’s Parliament National Security Committee said Iran will not be deterred by U.S. President Trump’s remarks and will “stand firm on red lines” in negotiations with the United States, including Iran’s uranium enrichment capability and enriched uranium stockpiles, control of the Strait of Hormuz, and the lifting of sanctions. Earlier, during a cabinet meeting, Trump said he was dissatisfied with the progress of U.S.-Iran negotiations, and stated that he does not accept Iran and Oman’s discussions on a new management mechanism for the Strait of Hormuz, that he is not considering easing sanctions on Iran at this time, and that he does not accept reaching an agreement first before further talks on the nuclear issue.
