Every officer on a nuclear submarine is individually interviewed by the Admiral in charge of the entire nuclear sub fleet. There was once a second lieutenant going through his interview before attending nuclear power school. He happen to have a young looking face and when he walked in the Admiral asked him "you look young, how old are you?" The nervous young man replied, "I was born in 1994." The Admiral immediately left the room and the second lieutenant was reassigned to a different career path, having failed his interview entirely.
