The host country of the United Nations refusing to issue a visa is truly outrageous; the rules are probably set by themselves, right?

CryptoWorld News reports that on the 26th, Russia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Vasily Nebenzya, said that Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister, Alexander Alimov, was originally scheduled to attend a United Nations Security Council meeting in New York, but the U.S. refused to issue a visa. Russia condemned the U.S. move, saying it violates its obligations as the host country of the United Nations headquarters. Nebenzya said that Russia had repeatedly urged the U.S. to issue a visa for Alimov, but to no avail. He noted that, according to existing agreements, the United Nations headquarters in New York “is supposed to be open to officials of all UN member states and must not exclude anyone.” Separately, the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on the 25th that Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Aragchi was also unable to attend the same Security Council meeting due to “visa issues.”
