Seriously, choosing the best digital bank in 2024 isn’t easy at all. There are so many options out there that it gets confusing to know which one is actually worth it.
I did some research these days and realized that what matters most is knowing what you’re looking for. Some want zero fees, others want a variety of products, and some people care about a friendly interface. Everyone has their priorities.
The main criteria are: fees, accessibility, what the platform is like, and the variety of products. While some people only want fixed income, others want to invest in forex, cryptocurrencies, indices, and everything else.
I took a look at the main digital banks that are currently trending. Nubank is really well known—it offers fixed income, variable income, cryptocurrencies, and international stocks. It charges R$0.75 on some transactions, but most operations are free. The app integrated with the checking account is very practical.
Banco Inter also caught my attention, with no brokerage or custody fees. It offers stocks, funds, fixed income, and Tesouro Direto. The interface is modern, and you can do everything through the app.
C6 Bank is a partner of JP Morgan, with free brokerage and custody, plus an interesting home broker. XP Investimentos is more for people who want more sophisticated things, like COEs and derivatives. It has zero fees on stocks, but there are costs for futures and options.
There’s also BTG Pactual Digital, which is more geared toward people with real money. It offers fixed income, multi-strategy funds, and international investments. Banco Sofisa is 100% digital, charging R$2,99 per order in stocks, but it’s very well integrated. Next is Next, from Bradesco, which is more conservative and good for people who are just starting out. íon is from Itaú—an integrated platform, but you need to have an account at the bank. BS2 is newer, but it offers fixed income, funds, and investments abroad.
What I noticed is that investing through a digital bank has become much more practical than it used to be. You don’t need to leave home—everything is in the app. The variety of products is much greater than in traditional banks. Some offer forex, commodities, cryptocurrencies, ETFs, all integrated.
But honestly, it really depends on your profile. If you’re a beginner, you’ll want something simple. If you’re a more experienced trader, you need advanced tools. The best digital bank in 2024 is the one that fits your needs—not necessarily the one with the most products.
The great thing is that now there’s an option for everyone, from the conservative investor to the more aggressive. It used to be much more complicated.
