AI Assistant Sai transforms into a virtual colleague, independently conducting in-depth research

Abstract generation in progress
AIMPACT News, May 16 (UTC+8), the AI tool Sai is designed as an independent desktop "virtual colleague" rather than just providing a chat window. Users can give commands such as "deeply research a topic" and then go offline; Sai will autonomously operate within a secure workspace: opening tabs, clicking applications, reading and cross-referencing materials, taking notes, functioning similarly to a human researcher. After completing the task, it will organize the sources and request user approval before executing any potentially risky operations. This demonstrates the practical form of an "always online" computer usage proxy. (Source: AiHot)

Can it run offline? That's interesting, finally putting local computing power to good use.

The virtual colleague form sounds like an upgraded version of Clippy, but this time it really can get work done.

Standalone desktop is the key, meaning it doesn't rely on browser extensions and has a cleaner architecture.

Request approval before risky operations; this design is very user-friendly. Otherwise, what if they transfer my wallet away in the middle of the night?

Always-on proxy, it feels like the PC is turning into a 24/7 convenience store.

Cross-referenced information is much better than what I find missing myself.
