I’m tracking the crypto market and I realize that many people are still looking for alternatives beyond Bitcoin and Ethereum. The truth is that there are several promising cryptocurrencies to watch that cost much less and can deliver quite a bit.
First, how can you tell if a crypto is really cheap? Basically, you need to look at its history, market capitalization, and the project behind it. Bitcoin was traded for pizza, and today it’s at $76K. Other newer coins can follow a similar path if they have solid foundations.
I analyzed the main options and found 8 that are worth following:
Cardano (ADA) is at $0.24 right now. It’s a serious project created by Charles Hoskinson, an ex-Ethereum figure, and it promises faster and more efficient transactions. It has already gained more than 30% and is in the top 10 of the largest.
Stellar Lumens (XLM) was born from Ripple in 2014 and focuses on international transfers. It’s at $0.15, and specialists say it could reach $3.60 in the coming years. It’s a fast and reliable blockchain.
Polygon (MATIC) is at $0.18 and offers solutions on the Ethereum network with much lower fees. Launched in 2017, it already has a market capitalization in the billions and promises to grow a lot.
Algorand (ALGO) costs $0.11, was created by Silvio Micali, and is even used by FIFA. It’s fast and inexpensive to transact with and has applications in DeFi. Very promising.
Polkadot (DOT) is at $1.25; it’s a strong competitor to Ethereum. Its strength is communication between blockchains, and many developers are working on it. Launched in 2020, it has grown significantly.
dYdX (DYDX) costs $2.32. It’s a DeFi protocol that runs on Ethereum. Created by Antonio Julianno in 2017, the token only got listed in 2021 and is growing.
Uniswap (UNI) is under $5 and is one of the biggest names in DeFi. Developed by Hayden Adams in 2018, it allows instant swapping of assets. Extremely secure.
Chiliz (CHZ) is at $0.04, perfect if you’re into sports. Created in Malta in 2018, it works with fan tokens for globally known football teams. The growth of the sports market in crypto is real.
Bitcoin (BTC), even at $76K , remains one of the promising cryptocurrencies to watch. The 2024 halving is expected to boost it even more. You can buy fractions and keep accumulating.
Now, the truth: investing in cheap crypto doesn’t guarantee profit. Any prediction is speculation. The main advantage is starting with a small amount of money, but there’s also a lot of fake offers out there. Before investing, study the project, see who’s behind it, and follow the news. Promising cryptocurrencies exist, but they require patience and analysis. Don’t fall for miracle promises. Do your research, understand your investor profile, and only then invest what’s left.
