Outflow of funds from crypto funds increased to $1.47 billion - ForkLog: cryptocurrencies, AI, singularity, the future
From May 18 to 22, crypto-based investment funds recorded an outflow of $1.47 billion. This is the second consecutive week with a negative result and the third-largest reduction in 2026, reports CoinShares.
Since May 11, investors have withdrawn $2.54 billion from funds due to reduced risks related to the situation in Iran. The CLARITY Act, which passed a key vote in the Senate, did not add optimism.
The United States leads in outflows — $1.425 billion. The dynamics in other countries are as follows:
In Germany, the figures remained almost unchanged.
Outflows from Bitcoin amounted to $1.315 billion — the largest value in 2026. Investors withdrew $222.8 million from Ethereum-based products.
Altcoins continued to selectively record inflows:
$4.7 million was added to multi-asset products.
Recall that in May, spot volumes of Bitcoin fell to the lowest levels of 2023.
