Please, if you’re doing a POS withdrawal, always cross-check the amount the cashier inputs before entering your PIN.

I wanted to withdraw 5k, and I told the POS cashier to add her charges, making it ₦5,100. When she handed me the machine to enter my PIN, I noticed it was showing ₦500,100.
I immediately told her, “It’s 5k I want to withdraw o,” and she replied, “Yes na, it’s 5k,” while giving me attitude.
I was like, “Why did you input 500k instead of 5,100?” She started arguing with me, insisting it was 5k, then collected the machine to “correct” it.
Ladies and gentlemen, when she handed it back to me the second time, thinking she had fixed it, this woman had changed it to ₦5 million instead 😭 Omo, I nearly lost it.
I said, “Guy, what is going on? Please give me my card, I’m not doing again.” The guy beside her started begging me to calm down, saying she would correct it properly this time, which she eventually did.
Imagine if I didn’t check the amount she entered. Worst part is, the phone I receive debit alerts on was at home because I don’t usually go out with it.
That’s how I would have gotten home and started seeing debit alerts of ₦500k 😭
