Deep Tide TechFlow News, May 26 — According to Cointelegraph, a phishing ad impersonating the decentralized trading protocol Uniswap appeared in Google search results, causing attackers to profit at least $400k. On-chain analyst bb stated that the related counterfeit website is transferring funds from multiple wallets, with the involved addresses currently holding a total of 146 ETH, worth approximately $306k at the time of publication.

Security Alliance (SEAL) said that such fake Google ads are a common source of phishing attacks. Attackers pay for sponsored placements or hijack legitimate ad accounts to impersonate popular crypto protocols in search results. SEAL also noted that between March 13 and 30, these types of attacks resulted in losses of $1.27 million.
