Squid clarifies it was not affected by the Gnosis Safe-related vulnerability incident

PANews, May 25th — Blockaid recently announced that a third-party Gnosis Safe module was exploited on Base and Ethereum, resulting in approximately $3.2 million in losses. The victims are 86 Gnosis Safes that added this contract as a trusted Safe Module. The contract is named “SquidRouterModule” on Basescan, but Squid states that the contract was not developed, deployed, or operated by Squid, and is only a third-party smart wallet product integrated with protocols like Squid. Squid emphasizes that its core protocol and contracts (including the routing contract 0xce16F6…D666) have a different architecture and have not been compromised, and that Squid users’ funds, permissions, and integrations remain unaffected.
