Wang Chun: The man mining Bitcoin is actually going to Mars

On May 21, 2026, SpaceX issued a brief but historic announcement.

The announcement said that the first crewed interplanetary mission of Starship has a confirmed commander. This person is named Chun Wang, Chinese name Wang Chun, online alias @satofishi. He will ride the largest rocket in human history to undertake a roughly two-year Mars transit mission—flying out of the Earth-Moon system, getting infinitely close to that red planet, then returning.

The time is two years, no mistake, it’s 730 days in space.

This is not a "space day trip" luxury check-in. Bezos went to the Kármán line, but that was an 11-minute weightlessness experience, a theme park-level adventure. What Wang Chun is about to do is leave Earth for two years. What does that mean? It means he will give up all ground-based business, leave Earth, squeeze himself into a metal can, and drift in the vacuum of space for over 700 days, just to pass by Mars and catch a glimpse of a distant land humans have yet to step foot on.

SpaceX’s official words are: "Flyby out of the Earth-Moon system, approach Mars, and return to Earth." (flyby)

Respect, buddy. Wishing you all the best. $BTC $ETH
