Lately, there's been a bit of information overload, with dozens of messages in the group chat, and KOLs constantly talking about "last chance," which makes people feel itchy. But when it comes to impulsively paying, honestly, the one who ends up paying the gas fee is yourself—it's not like they pay your transaction fees or cover your slippage. Especially now, with staking unlocks and token unlock calendars being repeatedly brought up to scare people, everyone gets anxious and wants to do something immediately. The more urgent they are, the more expensive it gets, and a clogged chain makes things even more ridiculous.

I now treat myself as doing a "backup": one version listening to news, and another calculating costs. Before hitting the trade button, I ask myself first: Is this order worth the extra gas I’ll burn? If not, forget it, save it for the next time when the network is less congested. Anyway, impulsiveness doesn’t care who calls for it; the bill won't lie.
