Today’s 60–90s “Old Dengs” face real danger—not from poverty. What’s dangerous is using the maps of the old era to enter the new era.

In the past, it was about connections; now it’s about system-level capabilities.
In the past, it was about education credentials; now it’s about real productive power.
In the past, it was about stable jobs; now it’s about cross-regional capabilities.
In the past, it was about an identity defined by consumption; now it’s about cash flow and skills.
In the past, it was about growth within a single country; now it’s about global allocation.

This isn’t about whether “Old Dengs” are done for. The key is that the logic of the old era has already stopped working.

If you don’t have the ability to change, then you must support your children so they can develop: technical ability, the ability to relocate globally, the speed to update their thinking, the ability to survive across multiple regions, an understanding of risk, and the next generation’s level of global-mindedness.
