Vitalik: The Ethereum Foundation will streamline operations and reduce ETH sales

Abstract generation in progress

BlockBeats News, May 25 — Vitalik Buterin posted on X discussing his personal suggestions for the Ethereum Foundation (EF): EF will shift towards a smaller-scale, long-term oriented, more clearly defined organizational structure in the future, no longer acting as the "center" of the Ethereum ecosystem but instead existing as a node with clear responsibilities. At the same time, Vitalik believes that Ethereum should not solely pursue extreme TPS and low latency, but should develop differentiated advantages in CROPS dimensions such as formal verification, stronger consensus security, and reduced reliance on intermediaries; these goals are not in conflict with scaling, L2, and lower slot times.

Vitalik also explicitly stated that EF is choosing to use remaining resources to pursue long-term sustainability rather than breadth (yes, this means EF will sell fewer ETH), and he claims that ETH is the most financially valuable product of Ethereum.

ETH is the most financially valuable product — that's a pretty straightforward statement.

Slot time and CROPS do not conflict, but the wallet conflicts first.

EF has finally figured it out; centralized narratives can't hold up, decentralization is the right path.

Long-termism + selling fewer coins, I respect this move.
