AI ends in a dystopia no matter how you look at it

if it works as advertised, every founder, every writer, every designer is using the same handful of tools to produce the same outputs. everyone becomes baseline competent, nothing stands out anymore, and the only people who win are the ones who already had taste, distribution, or capital before any of this started
if it doesn't work, the layoffs already happened, the restructuring already shipped, and the workers who got cut don't get their jobs back just because the models hit a wall
We build AI tools regularly, and we know theres no version of this where the average person comes out ahead by default
the optimistic take is "AI gives everyone leverage". sure, but leverage is only valuable when other people don't have it. once everyone has the same leverage, you're back to competing on the stuff most people were already losing on
if you're reading this and youre not building, learning, or positioning yourself for either scenario, theres no third path waiting around. pick something and start moving on it
