Just saw ZachXBT's update, the losses have skyrocketed from 7.4 million to possibly over 10 million. The protocol-level suspension indicates the problem is more serious than expected. The complexity of multi-chain architecture is a double-edged sword—convenient in normal times, but causes total paralysis when things go wrong.

THORChain attacked, losses exceed $10 million
ME News reports on May 15 that the well-known on-chain detective ZachXBT states that THORChain was attacked on the Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB Chain, and Base networks, with initial losses exceeding $7.4 million. After the relevant nodes were urgently paused, the protocol was fully halted and trading was impossible. ZachXBT later updated on X that the account records indicate the actual losses could exceed $10 million.
