Monero GUI 0.18.5.0 "Fluorine Fermi" version launched, completing feature enhancements and bug fixes

ME News report: On May 23 (UTC+8), privacy coin project Monero released graphical wallet software GUI version 0.18.5.0 “Fluorine Fermi”. This release is an officially recommended update that completes fixes for multiple security vulnerabilities. The key optimization updates in this release are as follows:

  • Adjust the P2Pool installation path on Windows systems to the local application data directory;
  • Improve the parsing logic for Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) edge/extreme cases;
  • Disable offline transaction creation in long payment ID mode;
  • Add unsafe text escaping handling during QR code scanning;
  • Synchronize and upgrade the P2Pool program to version 4.15, and also fix multiple minor program failures.
    Monero officials stated that this version has been released as open source on GitHub, and users can download and upgrade through official channels to obtain the latest security fixes and stability improvements. (Source: PANews)
