Trump said that making frequent clock adjustments every year causes individuals, cities, and state governments to spend “hundreds of millions of dollars,” especially since high tower clocks require heavy equipment to adjust, making the cost very high. He added that the House plans to attach the Sunshine Protection Act to the “Highway Bill” to advance the legislation and said they will “work very hard” to push for the bill to be ultimately signed into law.
